Many houses are now equipped with water dispensers. However, due to the continuous entry of air during the process of drinking bottled water, dust and microorganisms are inevitably brought into the water. To ensure clean and hygienic drinking water, it is necessary to regularly clean and disinfect the water dispenser.
Normally, the cleaning and disinfection of water dispensers are done twice a month in summer and once every one or two months in winter. The disinfection of the water dispenser can be carried out by professionals from the manufacturer of bottled drinking water or by yourself. If you want to self disinfect, please follow these steps: Step 1: Turn off the power, first open the drain pipe behind the water dispenser to drain the remaining water. Because the residual water in the sewage pipe is the key to secondary pollution of the water dispenser, then turn on all drinking water switches to release the water. Step 2: Use tweezers to hold the alcohol swab and carefully scrub the inside and outside of the water dispenser and lid. Step 3: Pour the disinfectant into 3000-5000ml disinfectant water according to the instructions, then fill the entire chamber and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Step 4: Turn on all switches of the water dispenser, including the sewage pipe and drinking water switch, and drain the disinfectant.
After disinfecting the water dispenser, there are still traces of residual disinfectant, so please do not drink immediately. Ensure to continuously flush the entire water dispenser chamber with 7-8 liters of water, otherwise disinfectant residue will become a new source of water pollution. After disinfection, clean the back wall of the switch with an alcohol swab. When using a cup to fetch water, it is easy to touch the back wall of the water dispenser switch, so it cannot be wiped with a cloth, otherwise bacteria will adhere to the cup and get drunk.
